How To Style Tailoring For Summer
Tailoring is trending RN, it’s all over the ‘Gram! We’re seeing lots of bright colours and neutrals and while pieces are mostly worn as separates, we’ve spotted some suits and sets dressed up for brunch and styled casually, too. This is definitely a trend to watch – we can see tailoring being HUGE all year, especially after all of the loungewear we’ve been living in!
We’ve rounded up our fave summery inspo from Instagram to prove just how gorge this trend is. But you better move fast! Lots of these styles are selling out…

Cropped Blazer and Skort Co-ord
We are just OBSESSED with @abbieroberts0 in this bright colour-blocking look. Her blue blazer goes perfectly with orange accessories, but we’d also recommend pairing orange with hot pink, or pink with lime green. Be brave and play around with those bright pairings!
This look is super simple too! We’re loving the deep V the fastened blazer creates, but feel free to wear your oversized blazers with a dress if you’d be more comfortable. Either way, this look has gorge summer vibes!

Black Blazer & Midi Skirt
Blazer & Jeans
We’ve decided we’re gonna be wearing a blazer and jeans combo all summer – it’s the perfect look for day-to-day and dressing up for drinks too! We’re especially loving this look from @ox_annab, olive green with a ivory blazer is a LOOK. Not to mention the necklace layering – the perfect finishing touch!
Blazer & Cycling Shorts
This super cool blazer and cycling shorts combo from @rebeccajackson is giving us those airport vibes. The oversized blazer is the “sort of dressed up” alternative to a denim jacket we’ve been looking for! And since we wanna be living in cycling shorts this summer, we think we could get away this look for drinks too – just swap out the flip flops for some heels! Obsessed.
These girls have got us planning summery tailoring outfits for all our plans, especially those pops of colour – brights are one to watch! Even those black and neutral pieces will see you through to winter. Tailoring pieces aren’t going anywhere, so get adding to your ‘drobe ASAP!
