What To Wear On Holiday In 2021
It's official, holidays are BACK!! Whether you’ve booked yet or not, it’s never to early to start planning your holiday wardrobe! What to wear hasn’t changed much in 2021 (except for needing face masks now) but it’s been that long that a refresher is def’ needed!
We’ve had a think about all the things you might get up to on your hols and pulled together a guide to kickstart your holiday shopping mode. Treat yourself, girl! After the year we’ve had, you deserve to go away with a killer wardrobe!

The first look you need to plan is your airport ‘fit. Comfort is key for this one, remember you’ll be sat still for hours on your flight!
We’d recommend some jogger or cycling shorts for this look, paired with a basic vest or oversized T-shirt and a hoodie or sweatshirt you can easily chuck on, or tie ‘round your waist. This makes sure you’re covered for staying warm up in the air (and in the English weather when you come home) and you can easily take it off when you get to your destination. We’re already dreaming about stepping off the plane and having that warm air hit us…
Don’t forget your airport accessories too – sunglasses (to wear on your head, of course!), a big bag to take on board with you and, the most important accessory you’ll need in these Covid times, a face mask! If there’s one place you’ll def’ be wearing one, it’s in the airport and on the plane.
After the year we’ve had, we reckon a relaxing trip is in order. We’re planning on laying by the pool all day just soaking up the sun, and need to update our wardrobes for it! Treat yourself to some new swimwear and a sarong for when you wander over to the bar. Don't forget your skincare too, SPF is super important. Oh, and a towel to claim your sun lounger with!
Beach Trip Outfits
For a trip to the beach, you wanna make sure you’re comfy in the heat! We’re talking loose fitting clothes to throw on over your bikini, a floppy hat to shade yourself from the sun and some sandals which are easy to chuck on when the sand’s hot, or take off so you can dip your feet in the sea! And don’t forget to take a big enough bag to fit all of your beach essentials in, like your towel, your sunglasses and something to read or listen to!
Exploring The Old Town Outfits
Don’t forget to set a day aside to explore the local area or Old Town! We love to soak up the culture as much as the sun, and can’t help ourselves when it comes to souvenir shops. It’s also a great way to scope out restaurants and cafes to visit, and find some cute spots for pics for the ‘Gram!
We’re picturing some denim shorts and a strappy top for this one, or even a little summer dress, but our most important tip is to wear your comfiest sandals! No one wants blisters when they’re going in the sea all week. Ouch!
Beach Club Outfits
Now this one’s a biggy, ‘cos we don’t know if night clubs and bars are gonna be the same on holiday this year. We think 2021 is gonna be the year of the beach club instead! And we know exactly what kinda vibes we want for our Ocean Beach ‘fits.
Choose your fave swimwear and match it to our cover up - brights are trending RN but you can never go wrong with an all-white look. Fishnet and crochet would be our choice of fabric to keep you cool and our ULTIMATE fave platform espadrilles are perfect for this!
Sunset Dinner Outfits
Out for dinner ‘fits are prob' the most you’ll dress up on your whole trip, so we say go big! These looks are gonna end up on the ‘Gram after all - you can't pass up this photo op' in that dreamy golden hour lighting!
Heeled sandals are a must for this 'fit (just be careful on those cobbled streets!) and we’d be opting for some wide trousers or a floaty dress. Lighter colours will make you look more tanned, so neutrals or white is the vibe here! And don’t forget to take a cardi or denim jacket with you, in case it gets chilly later.
Holidays in 2021 wont be like they used to be, and we might not end up in an Irish bar ‘til 4am on karaoke (No? Just us?) but we CAN’T WAIT to get away, no matter what! With the addition of some face masks in your suitcase, we reckon buying your holiday wardrobe is the same as it always was, but even more exciting after the year we’ve had! Now all that’s left is to book the holiday itself…
