When you're thinking of what to wear to a festival in 2021, the number one go-to ‘fit is obv' bright, bold flares. Whether you go for classic animal print, or a brand new trend for this summer like retro print, throw on your flares with some chunky lace up boots and you’re good for walking all day across fields, even if its not muddy!
Playsuits & Jumpsuits
Festival style in 2021 is all about a groovy print, and we are loving it on a flared jumpsuit or a cool unitard. Style with chunky boots and chuck on a bucket hat and some sunglasses - a must have accessory for on your head as well as to protect your eyes from the sun (and the strobes). And if the weather's not gonna be very warm, layer up with an oversized shirt or denim jacket!
Our fave festival playsuits & jumpsuits: Peach 70'S Floral Cutaway Flared Jumpsuit, Blue Zebra Print Mesh Unitard, Bright Orange Rib One Shoulder Cut Out Unitard, Bottle Green 70'S Floral Cutaway Flared Jumpsuit
We ALWAYS think of mesh when it comes to a festival – from a mesh bodysuit with some denim shorts to mesh dresses which show off your fave underwear, mesh pieces scream ‘off to a rave.’ If you're lucky enough to have a good weather forecast (or will be indoors), chunky trainers are great for comfort when you'll be on your feet all day and night, and would look super cool with either a mesh top and shorts 'fit or a dress! So versatile.
Another fab festival look is a co-ord – the best part? The whole ‘fit is picked out for you thanks to the fact they already match! Anything in bold prints like tie-dye or crochet fabric is a winner. Festivals are all about dressing bold and bright to stand out. Plus, it’ll be easier for the gals to find you if you wander off or get lost if you do! A win-win.
Our fave festival co-ords: Green Fishnet Crop Top And Maxi Skirt Set, Orange Petite Printed Tie Front Top, Orange Petite Printed Flare Trousers, Green Marble Print Halterneck Ring Detail Crop Top, Green Marble Print Cut Out Ring Detail Mini Skirt, Grey Tie Detail Printed Bandeau Top, Grey Slinky Printed Flares
Co-ord With Your Besties
You could even take co-ords to the next step and co-ordinate 'fits with your besties! Whether you all wear the exact same look, or just the same print in different styles, we think matching your BFF would be a super cute and memorable look for your festival plans!
Match with your besties in: Green Tie Front Thumbhole Sleeve Crop Top, Green Slinky Contrast Seam Mini Skirt, Green Jersey Tie Dye Bodycon Dress, Green Mesh Exposed Seam Abstract Mini Dress, Green Abstract Mesh Super Cropped Top, Green Abstract Mesh Bikini Top, Green Abstract Mesh Mini Skirt
Don’t underestimate the British weather, make sure you prepare for the worst! A plain or transparent waterproof jacket will go with almost every outfit, but trust us when we say you won’t be bothered about how well it matches when you’re dry and no-one else is!
We recommend at least trying to fit one in your bag even if the weather forecast looks okay, or if you know it's raining in advance then buy a jacket that does match your ‘fit. Plan it into your look for the best results - think of it as just another accessory!
Shoes & Accessories
Chunky lace up boots might be our go-to shoes for a festival but 'cos you’ll be on your feet all day, comfort is key! So if your boots rub, opt for chunky trainers instead. Or if it's going to be a downpour (like every year on Parklife weekend seems to be) then go for your trusty old wellies. They may not be the most fashionable but they do the job, and you def’ won’t be the only one wearing them in that weather!
As for accessories – we’d go for big chunky earrings, a little bag to fit your essentials into and a bucket hat! And of course, sunglasses are a MUST HAVE. You’ll regret not taking some when you’re squinting against the sun all weekend! Plus they make a cute hair accessory, too.
Festivals are FINALLY back and we are soo excited to get back to all day partying, listening to live music and dressing bold and bright! Don't forget to wear your comfiest shoes and keep the weather in mind - prepare for the worst, and bring a jacket even if the weather forecast is good... Just in case!
