Once you get a letter telling you it’s time to book your screening,
call up your local GP & make your appointment.
Try to book your screening around your period cycle. It’s harder to get a clear sample of cells when you’re bleeding.

No question is too big, small, silly or weird. It’s a simple test that could save your life.
From start to finish your appointment will take no longer than 15 minutes.
The test itself will only take around 3 minutes.
All you have to do is lie on an examination bed & your nurse will use a small soft brush to take a quick sample of cells.
The test might be slightly uncomfortable but it shouldn’t be painful so you can carry on your day as normal!
If you do experience any pain afterwards, contact your GP.
> Wear a dress or skirt. If it’s mega cold, wear joggers for ease of taking on/off.
> If it helps, take your BFF with you for support.
> Don’t overthink it! It’s a simple test that could save your life.

CERVICAL SCREENING SAVES LIVES
This International Women’s Day, we’re encouraging our audience to understand the importance of cervical screenings.
With the number of women skipping their screenings at a 20-year high, we want to use our platform to raise some serious awareness for the cause.
If every woman attended their screening, 83% of cervical cancer cases could be prevented.
With cervical cancer killing two women a day in England, cervical cancer screening saves lives.
